Excellent Service Award (EXSA) 2025 Ceremony
The 31st edition of the Excellent Service Award (EXSA 2025), organised by the Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS), brought together the brightest service stars in Singapore’s food & beverage sector for an evening of recognition, inspiration and celebration. Held at Nanyang Polytechnic’s Auditorium, the ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Guest-of-Honour, Dilys Boey (Chief Executive Officer, Workforce Singapore), who emphasised that “you are the heartbeat of the food services industry, you bring the human touch that no app, no machine, no AI can ever replace.”
Nominations & Recognition
• EXSA 2025 received nominations from more than 75 companies representing over 200 F&B brands and concepts — a clear sign of growing industry engagement. A total of 2,653 recipients were honoured across four award tiers: Silver, Gold, Star and the single Superstar Award.
• The prestigious Superstar Award was conferred upon Pheng You Yen Evan (Assistant Manager, Seoul Garden, Marina Square). His exceptional performance stood out from a pool of approximately 2,900 nominations and ten finalists.
Notable Milestones & Industry Firsts
• For the first time in EXSA’s history, the prize pool for the Superstar winner reached $2,500 in cash and vouchers, thanks to the collaborative efforts of industry partners and F&B companies. EXSA 2025 extended its reach beyond traditional F&B operators — for the first time including a cross-sector organisation (NTUC LearningHub) under the RAS EXSA umbrella, signalling deeper education and workforce partnerships.

• It reaffirmed the value of frontline service professionals — showing that while technology evolves, the human element of hospitality remains irreplaceable.
• It encouraged F&B companies to view service excellence not just as a nice-to-have but as a strategic differentiator in a competitive market.
• It provided a platform for education-industry link-up and for deeper talent development, signalling RAS’s commitment to building the future of the workforce.
Looking Ahead
EXSA 2025 sets the stage for 2026 — with higher standards, broader participation and deeper collaboration. As RAS deepens its engagement with F&B companies, educators and industry partners, the goal is clear: to elevate service excellence across all corners of Singapore’s dining scene, and to ensure that every guest experience is not only good, but memorable.
